Team Report – #530S
| Location: | North Africa (Sahara) |
| Date: | Mar 6-Mar 20 2007 |
| Sending Partner: | STEM SHARE, Bemidji, MN (Mixed ages) |
Some of our hi-lights:
• Interacting with at least 6 Unreached People Groups
• Prayerwalking in many locations throughout the city and in the interior of the country
• The team being onsite in the capitol city to pray during a historic political vote
• Our team nurse having the opportunity to help a doctor and nurse working (as a ministry) with the local people
• Visiting in a traditional Muslim home — eating their food, their way — loving on them and silently praying for their salvation
• Interacting with one of the few ethnic believers - encouraging him and praying for him and his family
• The team’s presence opening the door for our host to share biblical truths with a Saharan camel herder
• Praying for the salvation of a man we called "Peter" — His family owns a museum and he gave us a historic overview of the ancient city we visited, plus information on Islam. He openly enjoyed our team and our host who has become friends with him through bringing groups to his museum over the years.
• The team openly worshipping Jesus in a desert oasis (for the local Muslims, hearing this type of worship was probably a first)
• The team praying for healing for an elderly Muslim woman's knees as a team member placed her hands on them
• Giving an audio version of the “Jesus Film” to the Muslim man who was our vehicle driver for the 4 days we spent in the interior of the country — the Sahara desert.
• God miraculously protecting our team when the left rear wheel of one of our vehicles came off while we were on our way home out of the desert.
• 80% of this team sensing a call into increased or full-time missions work
